Virginia Information

On June 24, 2011, TCD was confirmed in Chesterfield County, Virginia.


A temporary quarantine on Chesterfield and Henrico Counties and the city of Richmond was declared on July 21, 2011. A permanent quarantine was issued for central Virginia localities on December 8, 2011. The quarantine was expanded to include the counties of Fairfax and Prince William, and the cities of Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas and Manassas Park on July 24, 2012. Localities now included in the quarantine include Chesterfield, Fairfax, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, King and Queen, King William, New Kent, Powhatan and Prince William counties and the cities of Colonial Heights, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Park and Richmond.
